The 2015 Taipei International Auto Parts and Accessories Show (TAIPEI AMPA) is set to get bigger this year. Showcasing the latest auto parts in 4,000 booths from Taiwan's top manufacturers, TAIPEI AMPA's 31st edition opens its 5-in-1 show at the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Hall 1 and Nangang Exhibition Hall, Taipei, Taiwan on April 8 to 11, 2015.

Taiwan commands 2.6% of the global auto electronics market, and is the number one country for automotive microchips, with a 43% share of world trade.

e.      What is Taipei Giftionary & Stationery Show cum Taiwan Souvenir and Handicraft Show?

April Gifts Blossom Best at Giftionery Taipei 2015!

Back for its 69th cycle, Giftionery Taipei is out to show its best at Taiwan's exclusive gift & stationery trade show. This is the place where both leading and start up gift and stationery manufacturers come to launch new products and designs. And it's a must-visit expo for wholesalers, retailers and other gift buyers from home and abroad.

Record fun, festivities and prospects will blossom at next April's Giftionery Taipei (The Taipei Int'l Gift and Stationery Show) since it's coupled up with the Taiwan Souvenir and Handicraft Show. Packing the venue will be more than 700 exhibitors from home and abroad who will be using more than 1,000 booths to showcase their best products. More than 20,000 buyers are expected at these TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) events that jointly run Apr. 23rd to 26th at TWTC (Taipei World Trade Center) Hall 1.

f.        TIMTOS 2015 Exhibition Highlight Series I - High-Efficiency Automated Production. 3^rd – 8^th March.

The chief spotlight this year will highlight growing trends toward "automated production”. That kind of production encompasses the global wave in smarter manufacturing that includes the best of the top two nations, namely "Advanced Manufacturing Partner (AMP) Program" in the USA and the "Industry 4.0 Plan" of Germany.

This event, the second largest in Asia and Taiwan's largest, is or-organized by TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) and TAMI (Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry) and unfolds March 3rd to 8th at TWTC Halls 1 & 3, NANGANG Exhibition Hall and Yuanshan EXPO Dome. The spring event joins more than 1,000 companies who are using 5,400 booths covering a record 100,000+ sq. meters of show space.

B.      INDUSTRIAL & ECONOMIC NEWS:

a.      Taiwan’s Inventec's new Indian factory to begin mass production this year:

Taiwan's Inventec Corp. (英業達), a major supplier of Chinese phone brand Xiaomi Corp. (小米), said Tuesday that it will begin mass production at a new factory in India during the second half of 2015 as part of its overseas expansion. Link

b.      Gujarat set to become major auto hub in 2 years:
From around 6 lakh units (including Ford plant) at present, Gujarat will a have car manufacturing capacity of 10 lakh units a year in the next three to four years. Link

c.       Electric cars at Taiwan's EV show:

More than 150 companies are involved in the EV industry, producing everything from microchips to the occasional car. Link

d.      IDC upbeat about 2-in-1 computer growth in 2015:

The 2-in-1 category began gaining consumer traction last year thanks to further marketing efforts by companies such as Taiwan's Asustek and U.S. software giant Microsoft Corp., Chiang explained at a media briefing hosted by Microsoft to showcase Windows-based 2-in-1 devices. Link

D.     CULTURAL NEWS:

a.      Chinese New Year 2015 – 19 February 2015 !

Chinese New Year is the most important festival celebrated by the ethnic Chinese. The Chinese New Year is a jubilant occasion for friends and families to share a good time together. People wear new clothing and children receive red envelopes (“hong bao” in Mandarin) with cash inside. Link.

b.      Kolkata 15 February 2015:  Pre - Chinese New Year Cultural Show organized by The Indian Chinese Association to be showcased on Tiretti Market – Poddar Court – Central Kolkata - 6 PM – 9 PM. Other Attractions are Lucky Draw and Plenty of Chinese Food! All are Invited!
